Deepening our connection with plants and crystals

When we encounter another person for a brief moment, we might catch the edge of a smile or notice a flash of colour as they pass by, leaving little trace or insight into who they really are. Yet we know that within each of us there lies infinite treasure, wisdom to be shared and stories to be told. Each time we meet we have an opportunity to travel beyond first impressions, towards a deeper connection.

Just as with people, plants and crystals have many doorways and we hold the keys to unlock them. We perceive the world through our senses, developed in response to an immersion in a world bursting with colour, sound, scent, touch and taste. Each primary sense offers access to a different aspect of the plant and crystal family: from drinking-in the beauty of a clear quartz crystal to being transported by the scent emanating from a freshly opening rose. We often favour one sense over another, so try experimenting with amplifying each one in turn to see how it changes the way you experience a plant or crystal.

When our senses extend beyond the physical, we enter the subtle realm. Although not always visible, the universe and everything it contains is in constant motion, with different forms of matter vibrating at various frequencies. When things of a different vibration meet their frequencies can harmonise, and because crystals oscillate at a higher rate than the human body they hold the potential to increase the vibrations of our energy field.

We can expand into these subtler aspects of plants and crystals by sitting in meditation with them, sketching them or being deeply immersed in nature. Anything that slows down the pace and quietens the mind can develop this more intuitive sense and increase our ability to connect on a deeper level with the natural world.

At Amly we work in harmony with natures gifts, blending ancient tradition with cutting edge scientific research to create a unique beauty line that nourishes the whole, with each of our blends carefully chosen to enhance mind, body and spirit.

Ordinarily, I go to the woods alone. When I’m alone I can hear the almost unhearable sound of the roses singing.

To pay attention, this is our endless and proper work.
