1. The Made in USA mark is a country of origin label indicating the product is “all or virtually all” made in the U.S. This label is regulated by the Federal Trade Commission.
2. Product that includes foreign components may be called “Assembled in USA” without qualification when its principal assembly takes place in the U.S. and the assembly is substantial.
When it comes to manufactures based in the USA, this is becoming a rare business. Multiple factors must be taken into consideration as to not fall ill to the all too common “sticker shock.” The manufactures left making footwear in the USA are making premium products. Don’t fall into the trap of comparing a Made in USA premium footwear product to a lesser quality imported version.
