Back when we did the survey a few weeks ago I noticed that a lot of what was brought up was aging.
I totally get that because as women age we go through so many changes and it makes sense to me that our beauty routines should change as well. We want to look our best and be our healthiest. That’s a good thing and I love finding new ways of doing that!
Although, there is something I wanted to talk about because it’s something I encounter a lot and something I have to remind myself (and my mom) sometimes as well.
Age and beauty are not mutually exclusive.
In fact, I believe in most ways they go hand in hand.
Looking younger is not necessarily looking more beautiful.
If you have a beautiful heart and if you live a beautiful life age does not detract from your beauty.
It adds to it.
I have proof.

Spread love everywhere you go. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier.
If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.
The miracle is not that we do this work, but that we are happy to do it.

As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others.
There is more to sex appeal than just measurements. I don’t need a bedroom to prove my womanliness. I can convey just as much sex appeal, picking apples off a tree or standing in the rain.
It’s that wonderful old-fashioned idea that others come first and you come second. This was the whole ethic by which I was brought up. Others matter more than you do, so ‘don’t fuss, dear; get on with it.’
When you look at these photos do you think “gosh she would be so much more beautiful if she didn’t have those wrinkles.”?
Of course you don’t.
Because when you look at those photos you see two women who couldn’t possibly be more beautiful.
None of us will look like we’re 20 when we’re 60 but who would want to?
There is no cream for kindness, love, life experience and wisdom.
It is a beauty that cannot be born in or handed to you, it must be earned.
And when it is, it should be something you are truly proud of.
